THE WAY: Do as Jesus did | Rachel Clark

THE WAY: Do as Jesus did | Rachel Clark

Being an apprentice of Jesus involves not just following but being sent, to ‘go and make [apprentices] of all nations’. Jesus sent His disciples to ‘do the stuff’ (e.g. Luke 9:1-2 and 13 ‘You give them something to eat’).

Jesus evaluated their mission trips, He received progress reports. He challenged and encouraged them.

In this talk, Rachel Clark asks what is the ‘stuff’ Jesus has for us today? What does it look like to be sent by Him to do the things He would do and where are we sent? How does He equip us?

At the end of this talk, Rachel asks 3 questions for us to think about:

  1.  Invite Jesus to show you how much he cares for you.

  2. What would Jesus do if he were [INSERT YOUR NAME]?

  3. What habits will help you keep your attention fixed on Jesus?

PRAYER: Revelation | Rachel Clark

PRAYER: Revelation | Rachel Clark

Prayer is talking to God - it can be so simple that even a small child can do it. But we want our prayer life to mature and deepen.

Prayer is not a one-way conversation. As we pray to God we position ourselves for God to speak to us. What are some of the ways God reveals Himself, His heart and His plans to us? And how can we get better at listening?

THE JESUS YOU NEED TO KNOW | The God who heals

THE JESUS YOU NEED TO KNOW | The God who heals

Between January and March this year, we’re spending our Sunday services spending time looking at the book of John.

As John himself says:

'Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.’

Using John chapter 4:46-5:18, Rachel Clark looks at Jesus, the God who heals in unexpected ways.

THE KINDNESS OF GOD

THE KINDNESS OF GOD

Rachel Clark explores what the kindness of God means, and how we can have assurance that God continues to be kind in any situations we may be facing.

The Bible references for this talk are Titus 3:4-5 and Galatians 5:22.
